Our Review

A Disney production for the whole family, tender, romantic, comedic, clearly standardized and faithful to family values. It contains beautified situations, bright scenery. With an expressive, talented little girl in her double role, who steals the show from the two protagonists, but also the heart of the viewer. The children will enjoy it.

Since we are talking about a movie that parents and children love, there could be no shortage of a delicacy that everyone loves just as much, and this is none other than the homemade delicious pizza !!! A 'cheat' meal that everyone will love and enjoy!!! You also can spend some quality time with family during preparing your dinner the special easy and enjoyable pizza of course!!!!

We wish you to enjoy both of our proposals.

Movie Plot

Forrest Gump is a simple man with a low I.Q. but good intentions. He is running through childhood with his best and only friend Jenny. His 'mama' teaches him the ways of life and leaves him to choose his destiny. Forrest joins the army for service in Vietnam, finding new friends called Dan and Bubba, he wins medals, creates a famous shrimp fishing fleet, inspires people to jog, starts a ping-pong craze, creates the smiley, writes bumper stickers and songs, donates to people and meets the president several times. However, this is all irrelevant to Forrest who can only think of his childhood sweetheart Jenny Curran, who has messed up her life. Although in the end, all he wants to prove is that anyone can love anyone.

Cast

  • Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump
  • Michael Conner Humphreys as young Forrest Gump
  • Hanna R. Hall as young Jenny Curran.
  • Gary Sinise as Lieutenant Dan Taylor: Forrest and Bubba Blue's platoon leader
  • Mykelti Williamson as Benjamin Buford "Bubba" Blue
  • Sally Field as Mrs Gump

  • Peter Dobson as Elvis
  • Dick Cavett as himself
  • Sonny Shroyer as Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant
  • Grand L. Bush, Michael Jace, Conor Kennelly, and Teddy Lane Jr. as the Black Panthers

Our Review

From Winston Groome's book, Forrest Gump is transferred to the cinema in 1994. Speaking of a good, well-intentioned naive, and obedient, to one whose whole life revolves around a humble dream and a box of chocolates, character, the protagonist Tom Hans. In the film we see the hero meeting personalities such as Kennedy, Nixon or John Lennon. The essence of the film, symbolizes a person with reduced intelligence who does not ask, is not searched and above all does not react.

In addition, the Film Academy nominated Forrest Gump for thirteen Oscars, eventually awarding it six.

While watching this movie (as young girl) I drank homemade lemonade, which my mom used to make -since we had a lemon tree in our yard- so, when I put the movie to watch it again, recently before post it on our blog, what I felt was nostalgia for that icy homemade lemonade. So, somewhat emotionally affected by this memory, I suggest you watch or re-watch Forrest Gump with a glass of cold, fresh lemonade on your side and you'll remember me ;) ;)

Enjoy...!!!

Movie Plot

Set in Mississippi during the 1960s, Skeeter (Stone) is a southern society girl who returns from college determined to become a writer, but turns her friends' lives -- and a Mississippi town -- upside down when she decides to interview the black women who have spent their lives taking care of prominent southern families. Aibileen (Davis), Skeeter's best friend's housekeeper, is the first to open up -- to the dismay of her friends in the tight-knit black community. Despite Skeeter's life-long friendships hanging in the balance, she and Aibileen continue their collaboration and soon more women come forward to tell their stories -- and as it turns out, they have a lot to say. Along the way, unlikely friendships are forged and a new sisterhood emerges, but not before everyone in town has a thing or two to say themselves when they become unwittingly -- and unwillingly -- caught up in the changing times.

Cast

  • Emma Stone as Eugenia "Skeeter" Phelan
  • Viola Davis as Aibileen Clark
  • Octavia Spencer as Minny Jackson
  • Bryce Dallas Howard as Hillary "Hilly" Walters Holbrook
  • Jessica Chastain as Celia Rae Foote

  • Ahna O'Reilly as Elizabeth Leefolt
  • Sissy Spacek as Mrs Walters
  • Chris Lowell as Stuart Whitworth
  • Mike Vogel as Jonathan "Johnny" Foote
  • Cicely Tyson as Constantine Bates
  • Anna Camp as Jolene French
  • Brian Kerwin as Robert Phelan
  • Aunjanue Ellis as Yule May Davis

  • Wes Chatham as Carlton Phelan
  • Shane McRae as Raleigh Leefolt
  • Roslyn Ruff as Pascagoula
  • Tarra Riggs as Gretchen
  • LaChanze as Rachel Bates
  • Mary Steenburgen as Elaine Stein
  • Leslie Jordan as Mr Blackly
  • David Oyelowo as Preacher Green
  • Dana Ivey as Grace Higginbotham
  • Tiffany Brouwer as Rebecca
  • Carol Lee as Pearly
  • Carol Sutton as Cora
  • Millicent Bolton as Callie
  • Ashley Johnson as Mary Beth Caldwell
  • Nelsan Ellis as Henry
  • Emma and Eleanor Henry as Mae Mobley Leefolt

Our Review

Kathryn Stockett's best-selling book, The Help, quickly gained success. After all, both the theme and the film itself have the right recipe, combining social reflection with well-written history.

The main characters are Skeeter and two maids: her favorite, Aibileen (Viola Davis) who resurrected her and the dynamic Minny (Octavia Spencer). These three women are at the heart of an attempt to demonstrate the irrationality of racial discrimination and the inhuman face of racism. "The Help" features carefully curated main characters, who are passionately played by the actors.

In "The Help", the balance between comedy and drama is never lost. Although Mississippi is inflamed by the hypocrisy and authoritarianism of the "superior" whites, giving us some genuinely moving scenes, the struggle of the black heroes to overcome fear and testify to their personal truth holds equally funny moments.

"The Help" manages to win and excite the audience. It talks about the past in a direct and timely way, while achieving the necessary connection with the present in the viewer's consciousness.

At this point and in a comedic spirit based on a historical scene of the film, we were inspired with our proposal for a Greek traditional dessert based on chocolate and biscuits. Anyone who has seen the film will understand our way of thinking, and whoever has not seen it, we believe will laugh and trust us. The proposal of the film as well as the proposal for the sweet tie harmoniously as it is worth seeing the film -if you haven't seen it before- accompanied by the sweet lychees that we suggest to you.

We wish you to enjoy both of our proposals.

  • Françoise Lebrun as The Baker's Mother
  • Mary Kay Place as the voice of Julie's mother
  • Erin Dilly as Judith Jones, Julia's editor and friend

Our Review

Julie and Julia are two very different women, but they have one delicious feature in common: cooking. One comes to us from the delicious Paris of the '50s and the American television reality of the' 60s, full of smiles, optimism and original recipes. She is none other than Julia Child, the famous chef in the country and TV personality played by Meryl Streep. For her, cooking and food are a way of life, part of everyday life and a source of her inexhaustible pleasure.

The other is Julie Powel (Amy Adams), a stressed woman living in Queens who is frustrated with her life, the September 11 injury in New York and her failed failures, and is permanently in a state of crisis and frustration. Cooking for her is a way out of everyday life, while Julia Child's recipes are a challenge for small everyday victories - both in her kitchen and in her blog. Julia's recipe book will prove to be an unexpected self-help guide for Julie, who will finally give a taste of her boring life.

It is a pleasant and romantic story of Julie and Julia. Inspired by two true stories, Ephron manages to convey to the viewer both the joy of cooking and the joy of blogging, but also the simple joy of eating, a more accessible pleasure that we have all more or less experienced during a well-cooked meal. An undeniably delicious romantic comedy that will open hearts and appetite of course.

We imagined ourselves somewhere in Franch eating of course a delicious creamy chicken, that we add bacon (which is an always delicious combination) and pasta to complete and easy, quick and tasty meal.

Bon appetit!

Movie Plot

Liz Gilbert (Roberts) had everything a modern woman is supposed to dream of having - a husband, a house, a successful career - yet like so many others, she found herself lost, confused, and searching for what she really wanted in life. Newly divorced and at a crossroads, Gilbert steps out of her comfort zone, risking everything to change her life, embarking on a journey around the world that becomes a quest for self-discovery. In her travels, she discovers the true pleasure of nourishment by eating in Italy; the power of prayer in India, and, finally and unexpectedly, the inner peace and balance of true love in Bali.

Cast

  • Julia Roberts as Elizabeth "Liz" Gilbert
  • Javier Bardem as Felipe, a Brazilian businessman Gilbert falls in love with on her journey
  • James Franco as David, the man Gilbert has an intense relationship with while she is finalizing her divorce
  • Richard Jenkins as Richard, a Texan Liz befriends at an Indian ashram
  • Viola Davis as Delia Shiraz, Gilbert's best friend
  • Billy Crudup as Steven, Gilbert's ex-husband
  • Sophie Thompson as Corella, a woman at the Indian ashram
  • Mike O'Malley as Andy Shiraz, Delia's husband
  • Christine Hakim as Wayan, Gilbert's best friend in Indonesia
  • Arlene Tur as Armenia
  • Hadi Subiyanto as Ketut Liyer, Gilbert's advisor in Indonesia
  • Gita Reddy as The Guru
  • Tuva Novotny as Sofi, Gilbert's Swedish best friend in Rome
  • Luca Argentero as Giovanni, Gilbert's Italian tutor and Sofi's love interest
  • Rushita Singh as Tulsi, Liz's friend at the ashram who has an arranged marriage

Our Review

Liz (Julia Roberts) is too close to depression. She is not sure about her feelings and her marriage does not help her at all, since she does not offer anything in her attempt to find herself. She decides to get a divorce and enter a new, more difficult phase in her life, the one that will allow her to fill this constant gap she feels. First step, the relationship with a younger man. The second and most important step, a journey around the world that will help her calm down and finally find the element that is missing from building her personal happiness. She first travels to Italy wanting to taste good food, carefree life and of course to join the local culture, then the spirituality of Indian culture and ends up in the idyllic Bali. In her attempt to discover the source of her authenticity, she witnesses various theories and practices that will lead her to self-awareness.

Perhaps the beginning and end of every human being revolves around self-knowledge. Elizabeth Gilbert's autobiographical story seeks to show the long and arduous need of self for love, right thinking and completion. Spiritual 'resurrection' is fundamental and necessary.

The film offers several thrills, accompanied by an exquisite journey into the diversity and magic of the world. The film has strong moments. Also, the film is part of a spiritual teaching that leaves no one indifferent ...

Many of us would like to make this journey. So, somewhere in here we were also upset by the taste that we would like to travel us, in some way to the places where the film went... What is more intense than Indian culture and food? A strong taste that will bring us closer to the dream of a trip ... So try to watch the movie with a delicious chicken curry and rice in front of you ...
